We’ve moved the sheep off St Serfs today.
The sheep have done their last grass eating out on St Serfs of the year. They’re going back to the farm for tupping and will produce lambs next year.
The boat performed very well. It’s her 6th season at Loch Leven now.
We can take 20 sheep at a time over to St Serfs in the spring but only 14 off in the Autumn. Best birds spotted from the boat today were Kingfisher and Greenshank.
The Sheep are driven back to the farm in Fife.
I’m writing this post from St Serfs on a smartphone with the sound of Whooper Swans while waiting for the Starlings to come in to roost on a cool crisp evening with the sun going down.
The Lomond Hills in the background will be the flock’s home from now on.
