As promised here are a few more details about the forthcoming Discovery Day 2014!
There is so much going on with more activities and organisations involved.
Most of it is under cover in the big Marquee so there will be somewhere to dive if there is a downfall!
Confirmed as attending include the RSPB, Forth and District Fisheries Board, Historic Scotland, TRACKS, British Dragonfly Society, Fife and Kinross Bat Group, Tayside Biodiversity partnership, CEH, Saving Scotland’s Red Squirrels, Kinross Museum and Archeology, beekeepers association, ramblers Scotland and Scottish Angler National association.
There will be many activities including willow weaving, games for the kids and story telling.
The day kicks off at 12pm and runs through until 4pm. Most of it will be under cover so don’t worry about the rain!
Kirkgate park is easy to find in the middle of Kinross. Follow the signs from the main road through Kinross. There is lots of parking but why not come on bike or walk using the recently completed trail?
Come and learn about Loch Leven NNR and the wildlife you can see in the local area.
