A week of good weather there has bought the Loch Leven to life and maybe the long wet winter is behind us. The Great-crested Grebes are displaying around Loch Leven. This pair were captured at the pier.

Grey Herons are in their full plumage now. The nesting colony is full of action with adults on eggs already. Some birds down south will already be feeding their young.

The dawn chorus is almost in full swing with Song Thrush (pictured), Dunnock, Wren and Blackbird in full song.

A few early flowers are being noted too adding a bit of colour. There are nice patches of Coltsfoot all round the loch where the earth is bare.
