We were delighted to host a stall again this year at the bi-annual Better Place to Live Fair, held at the Loch Leven Community Campus. It was an extremely well organised event, with a rich variety of stalls and a fantastic flow of local people coming through all day. The time flew by, and before I knew it everyone was packing up their stalls around me!
Thanks to Tracey Ramsay and all of her volunteers for organising the event, and thanks to all those that stopped for a chat about Loch Leven NNR, the Glossy Ibis, Shetland, cakes, photographs, reserve management, volunteering, SNH and local ponds! A special thanks also to George Guthrie, insect surveyor and volunteer extraordinaire, who was on hand all day to help out with our stall, giving me the occasional break and entertaining passers by with his wind-up caterpillar!
