A rarity successfully breeds at Loch Leven

We were treated with some exciting news from our pals over at RSPB Loch Leven last week- the Little Ringed Plover chicks have hatched!  It’s the first record of them breeding at Loch Leven, so everybody is very excited by the news, and even the BBC have got wind of it too!  Their choice to nest here illustrates the fantastic diversity of habitats at Loch Leven.  Thanks to RSPB member Stuart Gillies and RSPB staff for the use of this recent shot, featuring one of the adults.
