Loch Leven NNR Artist in Residence Blog

If you haven’t seen it yet, it’s well worth a look!

Alison Buckle was recruited a few weeks ago as our Artist in Residence to assist with the promotion of the Year of Natural Scotland.  She’s going to be doing this through her research and development work on site at Loch Leven, her art installations at various points around the reserve, involvement in current events that are happening here, and also a series of workshops that she’ll be organising during the course of the year.

Her blog is already full of excellent photography, and check out the ‘Wee 5’ page along the top.  Lots has been said so far about Scotland’s ‘Big 5’, but what about the little guys?  Alison is asking for as many nominations as possible for the ‘Wee 5’ of Loch Leven to be posted to her blog.  Include pictures too if you can!

Here’s the first of my ‘Wee 5’ – the fantastic Green Hairstreak!  Just got to gather the other pictures now and go post them to Alison’s page…
